When is best to buy the rings?
The earlier the rings are purchased the better. Once they have been sorted out there is less stress leading up to the wedding day. Also if a custom design has been chosen you will know how it looks before the wedding.

Is it easy enough to make my own invitations?
It is very easy because invitation kits can be purchased that include invite paper, envelopes and rsvp cards or if you are creative you can design your own invitations and all you need to get is the paper and whatever other decorations you might want to add to your invites.

How far in advance should I book the venues for the ceremony and reception?
It is a good idea to book the venues for the ceremony and reception as soon as you have decided on them as they might be busy at the time of your wedding.

How far before the wedding should I have the trial for my hair and makeup?
If you have the time, it is a good idea to have your trial approximately three months before the day as this will allow you time to make adjustments to your styling etc.

Do the dresses for my bridesmaids have to be all the same?
It is a tradition to have the bridesmaids all in the same dresses, however, things are changing and at the moment it is becoming more common to have them in different styled dresses. If you have a large number of bridesmaids it is difficult to have them all in the same dress as they have different body shapes and styles they like so it will probably be easier to have them in slightly different styles of dresses but with the same colour.

How far ahead of the wedding should I organise my cake to be made or start making my cake? If you are ordering your cake to be made you need to allow enough time for it to be designed and made. It is also a good idea to have it made before the wedding with enough time for adjustments to be made to it if needed. If you are making your own cake you still need a bit of time for it to be designed and made.

How long before the wedding should I have my dress ready?
it is a good idea to have your dress ready at least two weeks before the wedding as then you know you have it ready and you won’t have to worry about picking it up closer to the day.
